Xinhuanet Beijing, September 4 (Zhao Yin) The news from the Organizing Committee of the Global Elevator Industry Summit said that in the past decade, driven by the rapid development of China's economy and real estate, China's elevator product sales and ownership have grown rapidly. With an average increase of more than 20%, China has become the world's largest elevator manufacturing and sales country.
By the end of 2011, China's elevator ownership had exceeded 2 million units; the elevator industry produced more than 450,000 units, exceeding 60% of global production; and elevator products exported more than 47,000 units.
Although the total amount is considerable, the future development of the elevator market is still huge. Relevant statistics show that at present, China's per capita elevator ownership is only equivalent to 1/3 of the global average.
Such a large and rigid demand not only attracted the global elevator industry leaders to fully enter, deep layout, but also continued to promote the rapid growth of local elevator companies. In the past ten years, the market share of local enterprises has grown from less than 20% to nearly 40%. While elevators are becoming part of the mass life, elevator safety is also receiving attention.
In 2012, affected by the regulation of the real estate market, the growth rate of China's elevator market began to slow down, and the status quo of the industry with severe overcapacity caused the competition in the industry to be extremely fierce. In this context, the “2012 Global Elevator Industry Summit”, which opened in Beijing on October 25, will discuss industry issues such as changes and adjustments in the global and China elevator industry.
